Medical Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This is a "floater" position, which will require front desk and clinical training.

Duties

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
• Administer medications as directed by physicians, including injections and oral medications.
• Conduct patient intake, including taking vital signs, medical history, and preparing patients for examination.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to assist in various medical procedures and educate patients about their health conditions.
• Check-in patients, copy insurance cards, collect copays and payments, schedule appointments.
• Fill-in when needed for all areas of the office.

Requirements

• Certification or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred but not required.
• Experience in outpatient settings or primary care is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols and basic life support techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments.
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
