Medical Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our busy primary care practice. The ideal candidate will have the skills and confidence to jump in with minimal training, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care. This position requires proficiency in phlebotomy, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication skills. Spanish fluency and knowledge of eClinicalWorks (eCW) are a plus.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens accurately and efficiently
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider
• Manage patient information and documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system
• Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and address patient questions
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of exam rooms and medical equipment
• Support front office operations as needed, including scheduling and referrals

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or primary care setting (required)
• Strong phlebotomy skills (required)
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic clinical procedures
• Familiarity with EHR systems; experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service excellence
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs
• Spanish fluency is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
