Summary: Assists in the medical and surgical treatment and personal care services of patients in a physician’s office by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Prepares rooms for excisions/biopsies & assists.*

2. Breaks down and cleans operative rooms and surgical trays after surgery.*

3. Prepares and sterilizes surgical instruments and trays.*

4. Maintain and troubleshooting autoclaves.*

5. Re-stocking operating and exam rooms with necessary supplies and paperwork.*

6. Maintains CPR certification and performs if necessary.*

7. Attends clinical meetings, education programs, and training session of staff as required.*

8. Prepare biohazard boxes for pickup

9. Order culture tubes, formalin cups, bags, and sharps containers as needed.*

10. Prepares QI projects as directed.*

11. Answers and routes phone calls as needed.

12. Notifies appropriate staff of needed supplies.

13. Rooms follow up and new patient consult patients, documents visits as scribe for the MD or PA, obtain vitals.

14. Prior authorizations and refills.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Patient service experience
- Patient care experience
- Knowledge of physiology
- Medical terminology proficiency
- Intake procedures knowledge

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
