Medical Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to join our medical office team located in the Kendall area. Job duties include taking vital signs, performing ECGs, and phlebotomy. It also includes answering phones, relaying results, and general medical office matters as needed. Experience in ECW a plus but training is offered. English fluency required. Spanish speaking a plus. Salary dependent on experience.

Duties

• Prepare and maintain examination rooms
• Record patient histories and vital signs accurately in electronic health records; experience in EClinicalWorks preferred
• Administer medications and injections as directed by physician
• Perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for processing
• Perform ECG as directed by physician
• General phone work including making appointments, relaying results, requesting records, etc.

Skills

• Experience in a medical setting is required
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate patient interactions
• Phlebotomy experience required

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Experience:

• Phlebotomy: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical office: 1 year (Preferred)
