Medical Assistant

We are currently seeking a motivated and organized Medical Assistant to join our Allergy, Immunology & Respiratory Practice. You must have a strong clinical background and enjoy patient contact. Leadership ability is a must. We are seeking an individual with excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask under pressure.

Job Duties Include:

• Patient intake & vitals
• Allergy testing and pulmonary function testing
• Extract preparation
• Administer subcutaneous allergy shots
• Administer IM and Nebulized Medications
• Prescription refills
• Prior authorizations
• Patient Calls
• Utilize electronic EMR
• Accurate and timely documentation, data entry, and reporting

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Certification in the state of Illinois in good standing preferred
• Family Practice or Internal Medicine experience
• Allergy/Asthma/Immunology experience would be beneficial but will train the right candidate
• BLS Certified
• Requires good computer and typing skills
• Ability to work independently with good nursing judgment, self-motivation and self-confidence
• Ability to travel to Satellite office locations.

Full-time or Part-time available. Office Hours Monday - Friday, and Saturday morning.
