Medical Assistant

Job Description:
As a Medical Assistant in our pediatric clinic, you will provide clinical support to our pediatricians and help ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience. You will be responsible for assisting in both administrative and clinical tasks, contributing to the overall success of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pediatricians with patient exams and procedures.
  • Take and record vital signs (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure).
  • Prepare patients for exams and provide instructions on procedures.
  • Administer vaccines and medications under supervision.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
  • Update and maintain patient records accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients.
  • Assist with front desk duties, such as answering phones and scheduling appointments.
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Previous experience in a pediatric setting is a plus but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using EHR software and office equipment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy, and patient care procedures.
