Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Med Spa team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. As a Medical Assistant, you will support healthcare professionals by performing both clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.

Duties

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and administering medications as directed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with medical protocols.
• Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
• Support medical administrative functions including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling medical billing processes.
• Utilize knowledge of emergency medicine to respond effectively in urgent situations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center setting to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Skills

• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
• Proficient in physiology knowledge to assist in patient assessments and care plans.
• Excellent patient service skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
• Experience with medication administration protocols and safety measures.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks, including electronic health records management.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Experience:

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
