Medical Assistant (MA)
to work
Full-Time
at a skilled nursing facility in
Brooklyn, NY.
An excellent salary will be offered, commensurate with experience.
Medical Assistant Duties

Serve as a key clinical support team member for long- and short-term residents

Prepare residents for examinations and assist providers during visits

Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and clinical information
-
Support physical assessments and routine clinical procedures
-
Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nursing staff to deliver high-quality care
-
Build supportive relationships with residents and families while reinforcing care plans and instructions
-
Follow clinical protocols to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in resident charts
-
Participate in ongoing training and in-service educational programs

Uphold infection control standards and maintain a safe, clean work environment

Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and cultural sensitivity toward residents and staff

Assist with medication administration processes as permitted by certification and state regulations
Requirements
-
Medical Assistant Certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)

Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred

Hospital or healthcare facility experience will be considered

Strong clinical and organizational skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices

Compassionate bedside manner

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
Extensive training will be offered.
