Medical Assistant

Position Summary:
The Medical Assistant will support physicians and advanced practice providers in the Specialty Clinic by assisting with patient care, maintaining clinical documentation, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for every patient. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, friendly, and passionate about rural healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and medication information
• Assist with minor procedures and specialty-specific exams
• Coordinate patient flow and maintain accurate EMR documentation
• Schedule follow-up appointments and manage referrals
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
• Provide patient education and support as directed by the provider

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and professional ethics
