JOB SUMMARY: This position supports our dermatology team by preparing procedure trays, ensuring adequate supplies for the department and assisting with patient care, as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Daily instrument care and sterilization
- Review daily schedules for dermatology providers, review planned procedures, print patient documents as needed, prep pathology slips, bottles and procedure trays accordingly.
- Draw-up Lidocaine syringes
- Fill liquid nitrogen canisters; check liquid nitrogen weekly and order as needed
- Detailed exam room stocking weekly; spot socking daily as needed at the beginning of the day
- Check supplies and assist with weekly order
- Room patients
- Scribe for providers in room during clinical exam
- Cleaning rooms between patients
- Wiping down clinical counterspace as needed
- Take patient blood pressures, weight, temperature, and other vital signs as needed
- Accurately records vital signs, reconciles patients’ medications, allergies and current problem list
- Documents needed prescription refills and/or other vital clinical information
- Give injections
- Draw blood for labs
- Prepare allergy patch tests
- Take clinical photos as needed by providers
- Answer phone calls and check telephone messages
- Return patient calls
- Call patients with lab and pathology results
- Schedule patients
- Maintain pathology log
- Assist with Prior Authorizations
- Assist with phototherapy treatments
- Assist with Surgical Procedures, In-office procedures, cosmetic procedures
- Responsible for reporting improperly operating medical equipment and instruments to supervisor.
- Responsible for following OSHA regulations.
- Regularly interacts with physicians and other departments in order to identify and resolve problems.
- Regular communication with all staff members
- Maintains patient, employee and clinic confidentiality.
- Attend staff meetings as directed
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
