Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately.
  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates to support diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR systems) by documenting patient interactions, ICD coding for diagnoses, and treatment details efficiently.
  • Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, scheduling follow-ups, and ensuring a positive experience at every visit.

Experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and pharmacology to support clinical functions effectively.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems and ICD coding ensures accurate documentation and billing processes.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program (preferred)
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and medical terminology
  • Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
  • Experience with patient intake, charting, and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
  • Understanding of infection control and patient safety standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting
  • Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
