Medical Assistant – Pain Management
Location: Premier Pain Centers – Ennis, Hillsboro, Kaufman, Waxahachie, Gun Barrel
Job Type: Part-time / As needed bases Minimum 3 days
Premier Pain Centers is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our growing team. As a key part of our pain management practice, you will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and room patients, collect and document vital signs, medical history, and medications
- Assist providers with procedures and in-office treatments
- Prepare exam rooms, maintain cleanliness, and supply inventory
- Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR system
- Coordinate referrals, imaging, prescriptions, and follow-up appointments
- Educate patients about their treatment plans and post-procedure care
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Provide support with prior authorizations, insurance verifications, and other front/back office tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant Certification or relevant clinical experience required
- Previous experience in a pain management, orthopedic, neurology, or similar clinical setting is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor
Schedule & Availability:
- Full-time or part-time positions available
- Monday through Friday during standard clinic hours
- Must be willing to travel to additional clinic locations if needed
