Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our plastic surgery practice. In this role, you will support Physician Assistants (PAs) and, when needed, assist physicians by rooming patients, taking notes, assisting with procedures and injections, and managing inventory and stocking. This position is vital in ensuring our office runs smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Rooming and Preparation: Escort patients to exam rooms, update medical history, take photos, and ensure patients are ready for evaluation by the PA or physician.
  • Procedure and Injection Assistance: Assist PAs and physicians during neurotoxin/dermal filler injections and laser treatments by preparing materials and devices.
  • Note Taking: Provide note-taking support for physicians during patient visits to ensure accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations.
  • Inventory Management and Stocking: Monitor inventory levels, stock exam rooms and supply areas to ensure all materials are readily available. Alert PAs or MD when a supplies order is necessary. Maintain clean and tidy exam rooms and work areas.
  • Patient Communication and Education: Provide patients with instructions for pre- and post-procedure care, answer questions, and address concerns with professionalism and compassion.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with medical documentation, scheduling, and other administrative tasks as needed to support the PA and physician teams.
  • Willing to work at both our Wall Twp and Oakhurst locations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical setting, preferably in a plastic surgery or dermatology practice. Familiar with EMR.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, staff, and providers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
