Medical Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will support providers in delivering high-quality patient care and ensure an exceptional patient experience. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities in a professional, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support

• Take and record vital signs, patient history, allergies, and current medications.
• Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies according to protocols.
• Follow post-treatment care protocols and educate patients on aftercare instructions.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety guidelines.
• Support in minor clinical procedures as directed by licensed providers.

Patient Experience & Administrative Duties

• Greet patients and ensure a warm, welcoming environment.
• Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling, follow-up appointments, and reminder calls.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Answer patient questions and provide treatment education with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Support front desk staff with check-in/check-out as needed.

Operations & Compliance

• Maintain stock of medical supplies and treatment room cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
• Assist with quality improvement and training initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of medical assistant experience.

Preferred

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Work Environment

• Clinical environment with direct patient contact.
• Requires standing, walking, and assisting patients for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
