Medical Assistant - Behavioral Health / Outpatient Clinic

On Demand is seeking a Medical Assistant for our office in Austintown, Ohio.

On Demand Counseling is a trusted provider of outpatient counseling and recovery-focused services. We are seeking a Medical Assistant who is motivated, dependable, and eager to grow within a mission-driven organization.

This role supports a male recovery program, including court-ordered observed screenings, and operates within a gender-specific treatment environment.

Position Summary:

The Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting clinical operations by providing direct patient care, assisting providers, and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience in a medium to fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient intake, triage, and vital signs; update medications and medical history
• Provide clinical support including venipuncture, injections, vaccines, EKGs, wound care, and urinalysis (observed collections)
• Assist with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) workflows and patient support
• Document accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and maintain compliance
• Coordinate patient flow, scheduling support, referrals, and front/back office tasks
• Communicate with patients, families, and care team to support patient-centered care
• Follow infection control and safety protocol

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Medical Assistant certification preferred, but not required
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI background check and pre-employment drug screen
• Phlebotomy experience preferred
• Experience in behavioral health, addiction medicine, or MAT preferred.
  
• Experience with medical terminology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
