Medical Assistant, Clinical Research Experience Preferred

Duties

  • Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs with precision.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Support clinical research activities by preparing study materials, documenting data accurately, and ensuring compliance with protocols.
  • Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information, ICD coding, and medication administration details.
  • Conduct basic diagnostic procedures such as X-ray imaging or other diagnostic tests as trained.
  • Support medication administration under supervision and assist with emergency medicine protocols when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to safety standards in Level I and Level II trauma centers or other hospital settings.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Medical Assistant with a strong background in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics.
  • Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and ICD coding to accurately support patient documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as X-ray or emergency medicine training are a plus.
  • Experience working in hospital environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or specialized units like PICU or Geriatrics is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient procedures across internal medicine, medical-surgical units, or OR settings enhances your candidacy.
