Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant (Certified Medical Assistant - CMA) to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in outpatient medical settings, with experience supporting mental health, dermatology, hospital medicine, or urgent care environments. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient-centered care while supporting clinical operations within a dynamic behavioral health practice.

Duties

• Prior Payor Authorizations for Medication Management appointments
• Perform vital signs measurements such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse and specimen collections as ordered by providers
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
• Start and monitor IV infusions with accuracy and care
• Assist with basic life support procedures when necessary

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required; prior experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics preferred.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology essential for effective patient support.
• Experience working within EHR systems and familiarity with ICD coding standards.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification required to ensure patient safety during clinical procedures.
• Prior hospital experience or Level I/II trauma center exposure is advantageous, especially in emergency medicine or Geriatrics settings.
• Ability to perform clinical duties such as taking vital signs, assisting with X-ray procedures, and medication administration accurately.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
