Medical Assistant / CNA - Neurological Surgeons

BayCare Clinic Neurological Surgeons is looking for a Medical Assistant / CNA to join our team in Green Bay, WI. We’re looking for a compassionate, thoughtful candidate who wants to contribute to a positive experience for all our patients. The typical hours for this role are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. No Holidays! No Weekends! Occasional travel may be required.

The Clinic

BayCare Clinic is a successful, dynamic group comprised of 19 specialties. We are a physician-owned entity with joint ownership in Aurora BayCare Medical Center, a 167-bed hospital located in Green Bay, WI, offering us a built-in referral base. The Practice

Our brain, spine and nerve specialists are part of the most comprehensive neurological surgery team in northeastern Wisconsin. Our neurosurgeons work with a team of specialists to offer comprehensive care for conditions of the brain, spine and nerves. We take pride in being the region’s longest-practicing neurological surgery team, combining more than 120 years of experience with innovative medical technology. Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay is the first certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in northeastern Wisconsin. That certification recognizes the most advanced stroke treatment available and the stroke center’s ability to provide the highest level of care for stroke patients.

The Job

  • Escort patients to rooms, taking vital signs, and patient teaching as directed by a physician.
  • Collects and documents patient information in a thorough and consistent manner.
  • Provide assistance with execution of the plan of care as established by the provider, answering minor medical questions or concerns, and making telephone calls to patients.
  • Provides appropriate teaching materials, and assists in providing accurate answers to questions, all in support of patient and family.
  • Assists in the performance of any physician ordered pre-operative treatment/tests as well as the pre-operative preparation of the patient.
  • Assists in the post-operative execution of physician orders.
  • Respects and maintains confidentiality.
  • Works in a safe, compliant, and ethical manner at all times.

The Requirements

  • MA: Medical Assistant program completion with valid MA certification desired but not required!
  • 6 months – 1 year of related experience preferred.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • EPIC experience a plus!
