Medical Assistant – Float

We’re looking for a Medical Assistant (Float) to support patient care across multiple clinic locations. This is a mobile, high-impact clinical role for someone who thrives on variety, flexibility, and strong clinical standards. While you may have a designated “home” clinic for scheduling purposes, you will function as a multi-site clinical resource based on provider and patient demand.

A company vehicle is provided for work-related travel between clinics.

What You’ll Do Clinical Support

  • Prepare patients for exams and treatment
  • Obtain and document vitals, medical history, and chief complaints
  • Assist providers during examinations and in-office procedures
  • Provide procedural support during fluoroscopy-guided interventions
  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection
  • Prepare and maintain procedure rooms and sterile fields
  • Ensure proper handling and documentation of specimens and imaging protocols

Float + Travel Expectations

  • Travel between clinic locations is required more than 50% of the time
  • Work location may vary daily or weekly based on operational needs
  • Flexibility is required to accommodate cross-site coverage
  • Maintain consistent clinical standards and workflow across sites
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Operational Excellence

  • Support patient flow to meet productivity and scheduling goals
  • Document accurately and on time in the EHR
  • Keep rooms stocked and compliant with OSHA and infection control standards
  • Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
  • Support radiation safety protocols when assisting with C-Arm procedures

Team Collaboration

  • Partner with clinical and administrative teams to keep care running smoothly
  • Communicate effectively with providers about patient needs and workflow
  • Support a culture of accountability, patient-centered care, and professionalism

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program
  • 1+ year of clinical experience
  • Proficiency with EHR systems
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification
  • Experience assisting with C-Arm / fluoroscopy procedures
  • Phlebotomy experience and venipuncture competency
  • Experience in pain management, orthopedics, or procedural-based specialties
  • Familiarity with sterile technique and procedural room setup

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
