Find The RightJob.
Hi!
I'm looking for a Medical Assistant to join our surgical team and take real ownership of the patient experience — from the moment a procedure is scheduled all the way through recovery. This isn't a task-list role. We need someone who genuinely cares how patients feel and how they heal, and who takes pride in being the most organized, communicative, and dependable person in the room.
Our practice has grown a lot over the last few years and our patients reflect that — they're sophisticated, results-oriented, and they've chosen us because of the level of care we deliver. Keeping that standard as we grow means having the right people around me. That's what this is about.
Here's the heart of what you'll be doing: you'll manage the entire preoperative process for our surgical patients — sending in prescriptions, submitting imaging orders, chasing down medical clearances, confirming procedure details and facility logistics, and making sure every patient arrives on surgery day fully prepared and genuinely informed. Then, once surgery is done, you'll be in clinic with me for follow-up visits, handling routine post-operative checks, and fielding patient phone calls during clinic hours. You'll be the thread that runs through the whole experience, and patients will feel that.
The preoperative counseling piece is especially important. Patients need to understand what surgery day will look like, what recovery actually feels like, and what to watch for as they heal. That conversation takes skill, patience, and real clinical knowledge — and it makes a meaningful difference in outcomes and trust. If you've done this before and you're good at it, you'll love this part of the role.
Our staff is a very tight-knit and excellent group, and we are all genuinely lucky to have found each other. Every new applicant is met and voted on by the whole team, so the culture here is something we've built deliberately — but you'll be able to see that for yourself if you come in for a visit.
In terms of work culture — I will never ask anyone on the team to work more than me or to do anything I'm not willing to do myself. I clean the OR floor, take out the garbage, and handle whatever needs handling between cases and calls. Everyone here operates the same way. That's how we've built a place people are genuinely proud to work.
Prior plastic surgery experience is a firm requirement for this role — not a preference, a requirement. We need someone who already understands the surgical patient journey, knows how to coordinate a complex pre-op workflow, and can step into direct patient care from day one. Experience with body contouring, breast surgery, facial procedures, or revision cases is a real plus. If you've spent time in cosmetic or reconstructive surgery and you know what it means to take care of a surgical patient well, you're going to fit right in here.
Compensation is competitive and based on your experience in plastic surgery and what you can contribute from day one. Our goal is for every employee at this practice to be compensated at the very top of their peer group — whether that's salary, performance-based bonuses, or some combination. We'll talk through specifics during the interview.
Standard hours are roughly 8:15am–5:30pm, Monday through Friday, with some variability depending on the surgical schedule. No routine weekend or evening hours.
If this sounds like your kind of place, we'd love to meet you.
