Medical assistant for West Los Angeles Dermatology Practice

Looking for confident, dermatology experienced full time medical assistant.

Our office is an established West Los Angeles dermatology practice with a great work environment. The practice provides medical and cosmetic dermatology services as well as Mohs surgery. The volume of patients seen in a week is much lower than the typical dermatology/ medical practice. The head physician believes in long term sustainability for his employees

We will place the MA in his/ her position of strength and train in the remaining areas. Front office responsibilities include greeting and checking out patients, scheduling patients, verifying insurance and responding to patient and pharmacy calls. Back office duties include rooming patients, cleaning rooms, sterilizing instruments, ordering supplies, assisting with cortisone injections, biopsies and surgeries, lasers, cosmetic injectables, chemical peels, microneedling, PRP injections, and phlebotomy.

We are a smaller office so being very reliable and service oriented is a must. Dermatology experience is preferred. Very open to candidates who are going on for an advanced degree.

Required license/ certification Medical Assistant except for those going on to PA, nursing or medical school. Comfort with phlebotomy necessary or willingness to get certified/ trained in phlebotomy.
