Community Clinic looking to hire a Medical Assistant

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to the following):

  • Answer high volume calls and document all call information according to standard operating procedures.
  • Schedules appointments, Verifies insurance eligibility.
  • handle customer inquiries telephonically And inperson
  • provide patients with service information.
  • enter new patient information into system update existing patient information.
  • process orders and patient requests
  • identify and escalate priority issues
  • route calls to the appropriate resource when necessary and follow up with patient calls
  • contact patients
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Experience/Skills:

  • Must be bilingual (Spanish)
  • Ability to type quickly
  • Ability to properly answer the phone
  • Strong data entry
  • Previous experience in a healthcare call center or customer service environment preferred
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Knowledge of administration and clerical processes
  • Attentive to detail
  • Active Listener

Job Type: Full-time

Location: We operate multiple locations throughout the Greater Los Angeles area. Specific work location(s) will be assigned based on business needs, and candidates will be informed which location currently requires their assistance.
