A fast-paced urgent care clinic in Moreno Valley is seeking a dedicated and bilingual (English/Spanish) Medical Assistant to join our growing team. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy clinical environment, provides exceptional patient care, and communicates effectively with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients with professionalism and compassion
• Collect, verify, and accurately enter patient demographics and insurance information into the EMR system
• Perform COVID-19 and point-of-care testing following established clinical protocols
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient examinations and minor procedures
• Manage scheduling, patient flow, and front-desk operations to ensure efficiency
• Obtain prior authorizations and verify insurance coverage for services and referrals
• Answer and route multiple phone lines while providing courteous, clear communication
• Coordinate with the billing department to ensure complete and accurate documentation
• Maintain patient records, process requests, and uphold strict HIPAA compliance
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment while supporting overall clinic operations

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–4 years in a medical office, urgent care, or hospital setting
• Skills:
• Strong customer service and communication abilities
• Ability to multitask and manage high patient volume efficiently
• Proficiency in medical terminology, Microsoft Office, and EMR systems
• Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
