MEDICAL ASSISTANT Full-time

Benson Health Clinic is looking for an experienced medical assistant, to join our growing behavioral health clinic. We are looking for someone to complete our team, that is driven, compassionate, has problem solving skills, a positive attitude and works well with others. This position is open to non-certified medical assistants that have 2 or more years of experience, certified medicals assistants and newly certified medical assistants.

This full time position will average 37-40 hrs. a week, Monday - Thursday.

Job Duties and Responsibilities are not limited to and may include:

• Patient Vitals
• Submitting PA's for medications
• Take calls from patients and place call backs
• Documentation of all patient interactions in EMR
• Assist provider with daily needs
• Scan and upload documents into EMR system
• Use electronic fax
• Give Injections to patients (if certified)
• Keep your area tidy and organized

Typical working conditions: Work may be stressful at times, some clients might be very emotional, crying or angry. Interactions with others is constant and there will be interruptions, as you work independently but are also a part of a team. This job is mainly performed while sitting, there is daily standing, bending and occasional lifting, but never over 50 lbs.

Job Requirements

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 + years of experience preferred - we do welcome new CMA or CMOA graduates
• Good oral and written communication
• Excellent customer service skills
