Job Description:
Gastro Centers of Pennsylvania is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team. We are committed to providing the highest level of care through specialized gastroenterology services in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

The Medical Assistant will work closely with our medical providers to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations in a fast-paced gastroenterology practice. This individual will be responsible for assisting with patient care, administrative tasks, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week, in-person position.

Compensation:

• $20.00 – $23.00 per hour, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner
• Take patient histories and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight, etc.)
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including endoscopy support
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures while maintaining a clean and sterile environment
• Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
• Provide patient education regarding procedures, prep instructions, and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EHR system
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care as needed
• Manage patient flow to ensure efficiency throughout the clinic
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked, sanitized, and properly maintained
• Maintain strict confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI)

Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a specialty or primary care setting preferred
• Prior gastroenterology experience is a plus
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient care
• CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
