We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant specializing in Dermatology, Primary Care, and Wellness (Cosmetic & Medical) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination rooms and assist providers during dermatology, primary care, and wellness procedures, including cosmetic treatments.
  • Take and record vital signs, review patient histories, and perform initial assessments to facilitate efficient clinical flow.
  • Support patient intake processes by verifying insurance information, updating medical records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and explaining procedures clearly.
  • Assist with medical procedures such as medication administration, basic X-ray imaging, and minor dermatological or cosmetic treatments.
  • Manage clinical documentation with precision—coding diagnoses using ICD codes, updating patient charts, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Support hospital or outpatient clinic operations by handling administrative tasks like appointment scheduling, patient follow-up calls, and managing referrals.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and emergency protocols to provide safe and effective patient care.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in dermatology clinics or outpatient medical settings is highly preferred.
  • Experience in hospital medicine or urgent care environments enhances your ability to adapt quickly to diverse clinical scenarios.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and scheduling is essential for seamless workflow management.
  • Knowledge of ICD coding, medication administration procedures, vital signs collection, and basic life support (BLS) certification are required.
  • Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers or hospital settings such as Geriatrics, Medical-Surgical units, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or OR (Operating Room) environments is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to support both inpatient and outpatient care across internal medicine specialties enhances versatility.
  • Strong understanding of emergency medicine protocols ensures preparedness for urgent situations while maintaining high-quality patient service.
