The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high quality, low cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. Primary Care at Pease is a full-service practice with board-certified family and internal medicine providers ready to help you and your family achieve your best health. Primary Care at Pease is a true patient-centered medical home. Here, your care team includes the same doctors and nurse practitioners you have come to know and trust with additional specialized care providers based on your needs. The entire team will work together to provide you with individualized care.

Our practice is located in a state-of-the-art facility at 67 Corporate Drive in Portsmouth, NH 03801. This position offers a consistent schedule of 20 hours per week working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (Wednesdays off), with set clinic hours that vary slightly by day:

  • Monday and Thursday 9:45am-3:15pm
  • Tuesday 11:45am-4:45pm
  • Friday 10:45am-4:15pm

The role supports a single provider with approximately 5–10 patients seen per day. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking and documenting vitals, managing in-basket messages, and supporting day-to-day clinical workflow to ensure smooth and efficient patient visits.


Job Summary

Summary

This role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.

Essential Functions
  • Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
  • Show patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment for healthcare providers.
  • Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
  • Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms. Acts as a liaison with other departments and advocates for patients with a positive customer service approach.
  • Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean and supplies stocked.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials
Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] preferred

Certified Medical Assistant preferred

Experience
Direct MA experience or medical field work 0-1 year preferred
