Salary: $23-25 per hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED (required)
• Certified Medical Assistant (required)
• Back Office Lead/Manager experience (required)
• Dermatology experience – 6 months minimum (preferred)

Job Description

Cosmetic Dermatology office is looking for a Medical Assistant Lead to join our medical practice. Must be diligent, detail oriented, and is able to multitask. The Lead will ensure back office processes and procedures are in line with practice standards and perform Medical Assistant duties below.

Medical Assistant to perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to:

Patient Management:

• Show care and concern for the patient at all times
• Room patients and have proper setup for procedures
• Anticipate and assist providers' needs at all times
• Perform clinical procedures as delegated by provider
• Give patient instruction and demonstrate when necessary
• Update patient's health history and patient information semiannually

Medical Assistant Daily Duties:

• Open/close exam rooms and unlock/lock sample closet/cabinets
• Ensure that all counter tops are clean in the exam rooms
• Ensure that all chairs and fixtures are clean and free of debris
• Disinfect rooms before and after each patient
• Sterilize instruments and hand pieces
• Fill exam room canisters with supplies
• Check bio-hazard containers
• Complete notes
• Send prescriptions to pharmacies
• Complete all authorization requests
• Process all biopsy specimens

Skills:

• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, detail oriented, organized
• Proficiency with a diverse assortment of electronic medical systems.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
