As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside a collaborative team of providers and staff in a patient-centered behavioral health environment. Our team partners with patients through their mental health journey, helping them access the care and support they need to move forward.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys care & clinical coordination, is comfortable communicating with patients and pharmacies, and takes pride in keeping providers supported and workflows running smoothly. Medical Assistants play an important role in ensuring patients receive timely care, accurate information, and a positive experience with our practice.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage prescription-related calls and respond to patient portal messages in a timely and professional manner
  • Support patient care by initiating services and tasks as outlined by provider orders and practice protocols
  • Document patient interactions and visits accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Assist with scheduling appointments for providers and coordinating follow-up care
  • Update and maintain accurate patient information within the EHR
  • Serve as a liaison between providers and patients, helping communicate next steps, instructions, and care updates
  • Communicate with pharmacies regarding prescriptions, clarifications, and refill requests
  • Deliver a high-quality, patient-focused experience during each interaction
  • Crosstrain with administrative support staff to assist with back-up clerical tasks when needed

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Ability to support both clinical and operational needs within a busy outpatient practice.
  • Experience performing clinical tasks including:
  • Collecting lab samples
  • Drawing blood
  • Checking patient vitals
  • Performing urine analysis
  • Administering medications and treatments per provider orders
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting as a Medical Assistant
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams and Outlook
  • Experience with AdvancedMD, Athena or similar EHR systems is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

This is a full-time, in-person position (remote work is not available).

Hourly Rate: $20.00 – $23.00, depending on experience level

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

  • Medical Assistant: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
