Medical Assistant (MA) – Field-Based (Full-Time) - South Bay

Altos Care is transforming senior care through proactive, data-driven primary care and remote monitoring. We partner with Independent and Assisted Living communities and Home Health agencies to improve outcomes, reduce hospitalizations, and support care teams with real-time health insights. Our remote providers rely on local Medical Assistants to collect accurate vitals, assist in virtual visits, and ensure smooth communication between patients and providers.

Role Summary

We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing clinical field team. You will visit assigned care facilities to collect patient vitals, document key health information, and assist in facilitating telehealth visits with our remote nurse practitioners and physicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned SNF, assisted living, or home health patients (mileage reimbursed)
• Measure and record vital signs including BP, HR, oxygen saturation, temperature, weight
• Assist patients and staff during telehealth visits (setup tablet/device, ensure connectivity, prep patient)
• Communicate with remote providers to relay updates and patient concerns
• Accurately enter health data into our platform using mobile tools
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and infection control protocols
• Build rapport with facility staff and support a positive experience for patients

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred
• At least 1 year of clinical experience (SNF, assisted living, or home health experience a plus)
• Comfortable with basic technology (tablets, WiFi, mobile apps)
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between local sites
• Strong communication skills and compassionate bedside manner
• Able to work independently and problem-solve in the field
