Medical Assistant - MA WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Experienced applicants only! As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various medical procedures. This position is located in an urgent care setting, some locations also provide primary care.

Duties:

- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, recording patient information, and assisting with examinations

- Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare professionals

- Conduct X-rays and other diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a licensed practitioner

- Assist with patient education and provide support and guidance to patients and their families

- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information

- Perform medical administrative support duties including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance forms

- Follow proper infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification OR prior Medical Assistant experience preferred

- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology preferred

- Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing basic medical procedures

- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
