Medical Assistant (MA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT)

We are seeking a reliable, professional, and patient-focused Medical Assistant (MA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support both clinical and administrative operations within our practice.
This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for Medical Assistants, Patient Care Technicians, nursing students, healthcare students, and individuals interested in gaining hands-on clinical experience in a supportive, fast-paced healthcare environment. Experience is preferred but not required, and we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, reviewing medications, updating patient information, and preparing patients for provider visits
- Measure and accurately document vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation, height, and weight
- Assist with patient charting and documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Review completed documentation after provider sign-off as directed
- Prepare exam rooms and assist with maintaining efficient patient flow throughout the clinic
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, treatments, and wellness services
- Perform blood draws and specimen collection when trained and authorized to do so
- Assist with patient education and provide approved instructions as directed by the provider
- Review consent forms and ensure required documentation is completed and up to date
- Answer phones and assist with front desk responsibilities when needed
- Assist with appointment coordination, prior authorizations, and administrative tasks
- Perform room turnover and maintain cleanliness of clinical areas
- Complete general cleaning, stocking, inventory organization, and supply management
- Communicate professionally and effectively with patients, providers, and staff members
- Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required
- PCT, MA, nursing student, healthcare student, or related healthcare experience encouraged to apply
- Blood draw experience preferred but not required
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems preferred but not required
- General knowledge and experience with computers and technology
- Understanding of medical terminology preferred
- Communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful or fast-paced situations
- Reliable attendance and professional demeanor

Position Details
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8am - 4pm
- Approximately 32 hours per week
