We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused Medical Assistant / Medical Aesthetician who thrives in a fast-paced medical spa environment and is passionate about aesthetics, wellness, and delivering outstanding patient care.
Ideal candidates will have experience supporting providers with aesthetic and wellness procedures, including BHRT, vaginal rejuvenation, laser treatments, injectables, and other cosmetic services.
Position Summary
The Medical Assistant / Medical Aesthetician supports our providers in delivering medical aesthetic and wellness services while ensuring exceptional patient care, safety, and operational efficiency. This role combines clinical medical assisting responsibilities with aesthetic patient support and treatment coordination.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, highly professional, and comfortable educating patients on treatment options while assisting with advanced cosmetic procedures.
Primary Responsibilities Clinical & Patient Care
- Prepare patients for examinations, consultations, and aesthetic procedures.
- Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, medications, and treatment information.
- Assist providers with:
- Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)
- Vaginal Rejuvenation Procedures
- Laser Hair Removal
- Injectable Treatments (Fillers & Neuromodulators)
- Skin Rejuvenation Treatments
- PRP/Regenerative Procedures
- Medical Weight Loss Programs
- Wellness Services
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed.
- Educate patients regarding pre- and post-treatment instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
Medical Spa Operations
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized environment.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment equipment.
- Manage inventory and ensure supplies are adequately stocked.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Support smooth patient flow to minimize wait times and maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and patient communications.
Aesthetic Support (Preferred)
Candidates with aesthetic licensure and certifications may also:
- Perform facials and advanced skincare treatments.
- Conduct laser hair removal treatments.
- Assist with skin consultations and treatment planning.
- Educate patients on skincare products and home care regimens.
- Recommend aesthetic treatment packages and membership programs.
Qualifications Required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent clinical experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office, wellness clinic, plastic surgery practice, dermatology office, or medical spa.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience with phlebotomy and obtaining vital signs.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and patient service abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Highly Preferred
- Previous Medical Spa experience.
- Experience assisting with BHRT programs.
- Experience supporting vaginal rejuvenation procedures.
- Familiarity with aesthetic injectables and cosmetic treatments.
- Knowledge of laser technologies and treatment protocols.
- Sales experience related to aesthetic treatments and skincare products.
Bonus Qualifications
- Licensed Esthetician.
- Laser Certification.
- Advanced Aesthetic Certifications.
- Experience with EMR systems.
- Experience in women's health, wellness, or hormone therapy practices.
