Vital Healthcare Solutions is a growing mobile healthcare organization providing Primary Care, Cardiology, and Wound Care services to residents in assisted living communities, memory care communities, independent living communities, and private homes throughout Central Florida. We are seeking an organized, dependable, and motivated Medical Assistant who enjoys working both in the field and behind the scenes to support providers, facilities, and patients.

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant will travel throughout the Orlando and Central Florida area to support patient care operations in assisted living communities and private homes while also assisting with administrative and office responsibilities. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

• Assist with patient care for Primary Care, Cardiology, and Wound Care services
• Obtain and document vital signs
• Update patient medical histories and records
• Perform and upload EKGs
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Coordinate referrals, labs, and diagnostic testing
• Ensure accurate documentation within the EMR

Administrative Duties

• Assist with billing support and claim follow-up
• Data entry and patient record management
• Verify insurance information
• Coordinate appointments with assisted living communities and private patients
• Process physician orders and documentation
• Communicate with facility staff, patients, and families as needed
• Assist with scheduling and maintaining facility rounding calendars
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Majority of the week spent traveling between assisted living communities and patient homes
• One administrative/work-from-home day per week
• No weekends required (occasional flexibility may be needed)

Qualifications

Required:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent experience
• Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to travel throughout Orlando and surrounding Central Florida communities
• Experience performing EKGs
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently

Preferred:

• Experience in Primary Care, Cardiology, and/or Wound Care
• Experience with assisted living, memory care, or geriatric populations
• Knowledge of medical billing and coding
• Experience with EMR systems
• Experience coordinating schedules for healthcare teams and facilities

Work Location: On the road
