Medical Assistant (must have medical office experience)

Growing medical and cosmetic dermatology practice in downtown Manhattan seeking experienced medical assistant. Excellent opportunity for an experienced individual who has a special interest in aesthetics to be a part of a team. The ideal candidate is someone with excellent multi tasking skills, a natural inclination to take initiative and a positive attitude that can be maintained in a fast paced environment. Full time position. The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and a computer savvy individual. Experience in dermatology is preferred. Medical Scribers, aestheticians, and medical students will be considered. Must have a year experience in a medical/hospital setting. Candidates with no experience WILL NOT be considered . Candidate should be responsible, possess good phone skills, be able to multi-task, pay attention to detail, and interact well with patients. The position involves scribing for medical providers, documenting patient histories, prepping patients for various dermatological and cosmetic procedures, blood draw, insurance verification, operating an EMR system, patient scheduling, and operating a multi-line phone system. Must speak English fluently and have good typing skills.
