MEDICAL ASSISTANT NEEDED

Job Overview

Duties

• Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and updating electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort
• Support clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound dressing changes, and basic life support (BLS) procedures
• Conduct diagnostic procedures including EKG p
• Manage medical documentation with precision, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of clinical areas, equipment, and supplies to uphold safety standards
• Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, scheduling follow-ups, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in settings such as Primary CareKnowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and pharmacology relevant to Primary Care
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications like EHR systems proficiency or radiology support are a plus
• Familiarity with hospital experience protocols at Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence in outpatient setting.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments.
