MEDICAL ASSISTANT or Certified Nursing Assistant

Acadiana Brain Injury Center a Center that provides a safe and supportive environment where residents can achieve independent living, community access and vocational or educational achievements within their level of physical and cognitive limitations. Acadiana Brain Injury Center is looking to hire 6 Medical Assistants or Experienced CNAs to work in a residential home and community homes. We have day shift (6a-6p) and night shift (6p-6a) available.

The Direct Care Staff will help with the following:

- ADLs - Activities of daily living. ADLs include, but are not limited to, grooming, care and selection of clothing, shaving, bathing, oral hygiene, planning daily activities.

- Will assist with meals, activities, housekeeping and laundry

- Will assist the clients with medical and personal appointments.

Skills/Abilities:
- Decisive, well-informed, decision-maker.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
- Capacity to work effectively with different types of people.
- Demonstrate organizational capabilities.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.

- Knowledge of charting and documentation

Required qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience working in a long term care facility or in a home with multiple residents.

- Clean driving record

- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen

- Good work ethic and must be dependable to show to work when scheduled as this position requires a consistent presence at work. This is a full time schedule with every other weekend off.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
