Medical Assistant Oral Surgery

Our office is currently in need of hiring someone who is willing to learn the medical side of dentistry. Due to the high demand of dental offices searching for employees we are venturing into offering the right candidate an apprenticeship in Oral Surgery assisting ,THIS INDIVIDUAL WILL REQUIRE EXPERIENCE IN SOME TYPE OF MEDICAL /HEALTHCARE BACKGROUND . In addition you will need to possess a willingness to learn while being trained by a team of seasoned professionals. Attention to detail and most importantly having COMMON SENSE is a must. CPR CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED. PLEASE LIVE WITHIN A 20mile radius of Fredericksburg Virginia if applying.

Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up instruments, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards
• Support chairside assisting with tasks such as taking vital signs, medical imaging, and handling dental materials with precision
• Manage patient records efficiently, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Take X-rays and operate 3D scanners to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning while adhering to safety protocols
• Communicate clearly with patients about procedures, post-treatment care, and medical terminology to foster trust and understanding .

MUST LIVE WITHIN A 20 MILE RADIUS OF CENTRAL PARK, FREDERICKSBURG VA

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent

2. Current CPR Certification

3. Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to read and verbally communicate in English

2. Possess manual dexterity for assisting.

3. Capable of lifting 25 pounds

4. Must be able to support and assist sedated patients

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
