Medical Assistant – Outpatient Clinic

Location: Arcadia, California

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for an outpatient clinic setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and patient care skills, experience in fast-paced ambulatory environments, and proficiency with venipuncture and Epic EMR documentation.

Assignment Details

• Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Day Shift | 5x8-Hour
• Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures
• Perform venipuncture and basic clinical tasks
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information
• Maintain accurate documentation within Epic EMR
• Coordinate patient flow and support clinic operations
• Follow infection control and patient safety protocols
• Float to other clinic areas as needed based on staffing requirements

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of outpatient clinic experience required

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program required

Certifications

• BLS certification required
  • Accepted providers: AHA or American Red Cross only

Required Skills

• Venipuncture experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
