We are searching for a part-time Medical Assistant for our O'Fallon Pediatrics office!

Opportunity

• Part-time opening
• Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Every third Saturday morning, 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
• No evenings or holidays
• Not benefit eligible
• Outpatient clinical practice
  
  

Day-to-Day

• Perform back office functions
• Assist the provider in the interviewing, examination and treatment of patients
• Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height
• Willingness to perform phlebotomy, preferred
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (NextGen)
• Answer phones
• Cross train to cover patient check-in and scheduling
• Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team
  
  

Who We Are Seeking (preferred)

• The Medical Assistant is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
• Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• CPR Certification.
• PC/Windows proficiency.
• Medical coding familiarity.
• Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.
• Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.
