Medical Assistant / Physical Therapy Assistant

About the Role: NOEL MEDICAL AND REHAB CENTER is seeking a Medical Assistant who will also serve as a Physical Therapy Assistant (formerly Chiropractic Assistant) to support our clinic.

What You’ll Do:

Clinical Medical Assistant Responsibilities:

• Document patient medical histories (medical, social, family, surgical)
• Record vital signs (blood pressure, oxygen levels, temperature, etc.)
• Prepare patients for exams and assist physicians during visits
• Perform basic lab tests and review results
• Transmit prescription refills as directed
• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and lifestyle recommendations
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and manage inventory

Physical Therapy Asistant / Chiropractic Assistant Responsibilities:

What You’ll Need

• Work alongside providers to implement patient treatment plans
• Provide physiotherapy support in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Assist patients with exercises and therapies to support recovery and independence
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the care team
• Ensure a safe, patient-centered treatment environment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Assist with scheduling, patient flow, and front desk operations when required
• Accurately document patient interactions
• Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
• Support overall clinic operations and step in where needed
• Collaborate closely with physicians, case managers, and leadership

What We’re Looking For:

v Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.

v Licensed or license eligible as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (required)
• Bilingual (English & creole) – (required)
• Primary care experience (preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Work Details:

• Position: part-time
• Location: North Miami, FL 33161
• Work Setting: In-person

Pay: $22.68 - $27.32 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week

License/Certification:

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (Preferred)
