Southwoods Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for our Primary Care office in Hubbard. In this role, you will partner with physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, comprehensive patient care. This position offers a perfect balance of clinical and administrative duties within a supportive, professional team environment.

This position offers a perfect balance of clinical and administrative duties within a supportive, professional team environment.
Schedule:
- Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Hours will flex to accommodate a rotating Saturday shift (8:00 AM – 2:00 PM) every 4th week.
Essential Duties:
- Patient Care: Create a welcoming environment and room patients efficiently using two-patient identifiers.
- Clinical Support: Obtain and record vital signs, chief complaints, medications, and allergies accurately in the EMR.
- Lab Coordination: Collect and prepare specimens for transport following strict safety and identification protocols.
- Communication: Promptly report critical lab values, adverse reactions, and pertinent patient information to the physician.
- Administrative Excellence: Assist with scheduling, phone inquiries, and medical record maintenance.
- Compliance: Ensure all practice processes meet the standards of regulatory agencies (OSHA, TJC, etc.).
Qualifications & Requirements:
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a diploma.
- Active certification (or eligibility) through the RMA (AMT), CMA (AAMA), or CCMA (NHA).
- A minimum of one (1) year of direct work experience as a Medical Assistant.
Additional Requirements:
- Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
