Medical Assistant - Scranton, PA

This position is 4 10 hour shifts, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be a Certified MA who has experience in patient Intake, Recording Vitals, Collecting Blood samples and using ECW or similar EMR.

- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and treatment
- Perform basic life support procedures as needed
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications under the supervision of a healthcare provider
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
- Perform medical administrative support tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Proficiency in medication administration techniques
- Ability to provide excellent patient care and ensure patient comfort
- Familiarity with medical administrative tasks, such as scheduling and record keeping
- Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs
