Medical Assistant (Certified Preferred)
Fusion Foot and Ankle – Fort Worth & Arlington, TX
Fusion Foot and Ankle is seeking a dependable, motivated, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry practice. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, thrives on teamwork, and is passionate about providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and prepare them for provider evaluation
- Obtain and document patient histories, medications, allergies, and surgical history
- Update patient demographics and face sheets
- Start and maintain accurate chart documentation in the EMR
- Obtain patient weights and vital information as required
- Assist with X-rays and diagnostic testing
- Perform ABI (Ankle Brachial Index) testing
- Assist the provider with office procedures and surgeries
- Send referrals, orders, and coordinate home health services
- Manage tasks, messages, and patient follow-up as directed
- Clean and disinfect exam rooms between patients
- Maintain OSHA and infection control standards
- Assist with weekly deep cleaning and clinic organization
- Support patient flow and assist team members as needed
Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- Must be able to travel to Fort Worth for meetings and training
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred
- Previous medical office experience required
- Minimum of 3 years of medical assistant experience
- Experience with Podiatry, orthopedic, wound care, or surgical experience preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality
Schedule Requirements
Monday: 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- Must be able to work the full schedule listed above.
- Flexibility is required, as employees may need to stay late based on patient volume and clinic needs.
