Medical Assistant (Certified Preferred)

Fusion Foot and Ankle – Fort Worth & Arlington, TX

Fusion Foot and Ankle is seeking a dependable, motivated, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry practice. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, thrives on teamwork, and is passionate about providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and prepare them for provider evaluation
  • Obtain and document patient histories, medications, allergies, and surgical history
  • Update patient demographics and face sheets
  • Start and maintain accurate chart documentation in the EMR
  • Obtain patient weights and vital information as required
  • Assist with X-rays and diagnostic testing
  • Perform ABI (Ankle Brachial Index) testing
  • Assist the provider with office procedures and surgeries
  • Send referrals, orders, and coordinate home health services
  • Manage tasks, messages, and patient follow-up as directed
  • Clean and disinfect exam rooms between patients
  • Maintain OSHA and infection control standards
  • Assist with weekly deep cleaning and clinic organization
  • Support patient flow and assist team members as needed

Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

  • Must be able to travel to Fort Worth for meetings and training
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred
  • Previous medical office experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of medical assistant experience
  • Experience with Podiatry, orthopedic, wound care, or surgical experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality

Schedule Requirements

Monday: 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM

  • Must be able to work the full schedule listed above.
  • Flexibility is required, as employees may need to stay late based on patient volume and clinic needs.
