Medical Assistant / Surgery Scheduler

Established Neurosurgery practice in Newport Beach is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant, Surgery Scheduler, and Billing/Collections assistant to join our team. Our goal is to provide excellent, quality care in a compassionate manner to our clientele.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 3 years, but 5 years preferred Medical Assistant / Surgery Scheduling experience
• Experience in Neurosurgery preferred
• Experience with obtaining surgical authorizations preferred
• Experience and knowledge of insurance verification process
• Experience in billing and collections

Required Skills:

• Ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of Microsoft office and Electronic Health Records (Athena EHR preferred)
• Strong interpersonal abilities with excellent patient care
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive / Self-directed with exceptional time management skills
• Ability to problem solve

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• MA Certificate

Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $26.00 per hour
