Medical Assistant (two years experience required)

The Lapidus Clinic and Med Spa is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team in Avila Beach, CA. We are looking for an energetic, motivated, dynamic, and creative individual to serve as our brand ambassador and provide exceptional first impressions to our patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a willingness to engage in various tasks including customer service, sales, and patient management. Medical Assistant experience is required.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors with a welcoming and professional demeanor.
• Manage patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate and helpful information.
• Schedule appointments, coordinate patient flow, and manage the front desk area efficiently.
• Process patient intake forms, insurance information, and medical records with attention to detail.
• Assist with billing tasks, including invoicing and processing payments using QuickBooks software.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient experiences.
• Assist with marketing efforts and promotional activities as needed.
• Continuously strive to uphold the clinic's standards of excellence in customer service and patient care.

Requirements:

• Two years medical assisting experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
• Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in a medical or aesthetic environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and vendors.
• Proficiency in computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks (experience with QuickBooks is preferred).
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive patient information and financial transactions.
