Schedule: Per-diem, part-time, flexible ( 5 to 10hrs/week)
Clinic Days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (hours based on availability)

Position Summary
Valley Health Consultants, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) with expertise in phlebotomy contractor to support our clinic.
We are looking for someone who is confident performing blood draws, experienced working in a clinical setting, and capable of teaching and training other Medical Assistants in proper phlebotomy techniques and workflow
Additionally, this role combines hands-on clinical support, medical documentation, and records review. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a small, growing specialty clinic. Training is provided for practice-specific workflows, diagnostics, and documentation standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection
- Train and mentor other Medical Assistants on phlebotomy procedures
- Prepare and process lab specimens
- Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately
- Measure and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and oxygen saturation
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, including Veteran disability exams
- Perform medical scribe duties during patient visits
- Perform phlebotomy as needed (preferred)
- Perform or assist with basic diagnostic testing, including: EKG, Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT), Other outpatient diagnostics as trained
- Support post-hospital Transitional Care Management visits
- Review, organize, and summarize medical records
- Manage electronic health records to ensure accurate and timely documentation
- Prepare exam rooms, clean and sterilize equipment, and maintain a safe clinical environment
- Provide excellent patient service, including explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification or relevant clinical experience
- Experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics, urgent care, hospital medicine, or specialty clinics preferred
- Phlebotomy experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic clinical workflows
- Comfortable using EHR systems and computers for documentation
- BLS certification required
- Strong attention to detail and professionalism
- Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule while maintaining reliability and accuracy
