Medical Assistant / Licensed Aesthetician – Medical Spa
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant who is also a Licensed Aesthetician with REQUIRED medical spa experience to join our healthcare team. This role requires a confident, hands-on provider who can independently perform aesthetic procedures while supporting medical services such as medical weight loss and hormone therapy and aesthetic treatments. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced medical spa environment.
ResponsibilitiesAesthetic Services (Primary Role)
- Independently perform aesthetic treatments, including but not limited to:
- VI Peels
- Microneedling (with and without PRP)
- HydraFacial treatments
- Customized medical-grade facials
- Facial and therapeutic massages
- Lymphatic drainage massages
- Properly assess skin, recommend treatment plans, and educate patients on pre- and post-care
- Maintain treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies to medical spa standards
- Ensure all aesthetic services are performed in compliance with clinical protocols and safety guidelines
Medical & Clinical Support
- Assist the provider with medical weight loss programs and hormone therapy services
- Accurately obtain and document patient histories, consent forms, and vital signs
- Administer medications as directed, including IM and subcutaneous injections
- Perform basic lab duties, including phlebotomy, specimen handling, and sterilization of instruments
- Provide patient education related to aesthetics, weight loss, and hormone therapy
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
Patient Experience
- Deliver a luxury-level patient experience focused on comfort, safety, and satisfaction
- Maintain professionalism, discretion, and excellent bedside manner at all times
- Support patient retention through education, follow-ups, and treatment compliance
Requirements
- MUST be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or equivalent)
- MUST be a Licensed Aesthetician
- MUST have prior hands-on experience working in a medical spa
- MUST be proficient in performing aesthetic procedures independently, including:
- VI Peels
- Microneedling (with and without PRP)
- HydraFacial
- Medical-grade facials
- Facial and lymphatic drainage massage
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs
- Experience supporting medical weight loss and hormone therapy programs preferred
- Proficiency in medication administration and injections
- BLS certification required
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-end medical spa environment
- Professional appearance and strong attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
