MEDICAL ASSISTANT/EMT

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Medical Assistant/EMT to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient care. This role involves working closely with our physicians and other staff to support patient evaluation, treatment, and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsibly appear to work daily
• Be pleasant and work as a team player
• Greet and room patients, obtain medical history and document vital signs.
• Assist providers with diagnostic procedures and in-office treatments.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring equipment and supplies are stocked.
• Accurately enter data into the electronic medical record (eClinicalWorks EMR).
• Educate patients on procedures, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
• Coordinate referrals, diagnostic tests, and prescription refills.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
• Assist in procedure room manipulating C-arm and preparing procedure trays.
• Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to assist healthcare providers effectively.
• Conduct basic life support procedures as needed and respond to emergencies within the clinic.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care across various specialties such as internal medicine and neurosurgery.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred).
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent credential preferred.
• Prior experience in pain medicine, or related specialty preferred.
• Proficiency in EMR systems (experience with [eClinicalWorks] preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
• EMT/paramedic background will be considered.

• Full-time, Monday–Friday 9-5 (no weekends or major holidays).
