Medical Assistant/EMT- General Surgery

JOB DESCRIPTION

Park Nicollet is looking to hire an LPN, Medical Assistant or EMT to join our Women’s Services team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.


Position Summary:

The Medical Assistant supports our providers by performing a variety of clinical duties to ensure efficient patient care and smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, maintaining accurate medical records, assisting with procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety, privacy and clinical protocols. The Medical Assistant serves as a key liaison between patients and the healthcare team, delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced medical environment.


Work Schedule:

  • 4 days per week 8:30-5
  • Primarily in St. Louis Park, potential to float to Maple Grove occasionally


Required Qualifications:

We are open to filling this position with an MA, or EMT. Requirements for each are outlined below:

Medical Assistant (MA): Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by “The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current MN EMT License. Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.


Preferred Qualifications:

One or more years of healthcare experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
